Slow Regard of Silent Things – better if you’ve read the other KingKiller books but still a lovely sweet story of a girl.

The Inheritance Trilogy by N K Jemisin – crackingly good read & all the books are in 1 Kindle book so nice and easy.

Chuck Wendig – Miriam Black books – I quite enjoyed most of his books. I like his irreverent style.

Wool by Hugh Howey – everyone loved this, it’s amazing.

Americanah – Chimanda Ngozi Adichie – so good, so much observation.

Robert Gailbraith – Cuckoo’s Calling. Seriously, we know it’s JK Rowling but this is so much better than the bloody witch child stuff. London detective story, really clever.

The Golem & The Djinni – I adored this. Really beautifully written.

Parasite by Mira Grant. Properly creepy.

Beggars in Spain – more genetic engineering, but this time with added sleeplessness. Well written but also a horrible concept. I’m just not sure about the concept. Worth a read.
