I’m still here, still alive, and still doing foodie stuff. Well, to a certain degree.
Giving the impeding occasion in my life, I have decided to focus on losing some weight. It’s quite dull (especially for Simon) but really, I want to start dress shopping on a couple of months and I don’t want to remain this size. I was previously content to remain slowly losing weight and putting on muscle with lots of weight training but have decided to step things up a bit and have a 4 week blitz.
I started on the 16 Feb and so far, so good. It involves eating high quality protein, good fats, lots of veggies and very little refined stuff. Back to basics food really, except for the protein shakes.
A sample day is
8am – protein shake
11am – 2 boiled eggs / tin of tuna
1:30pm – chicken and salad or green veggies.
4:30pm – prawns or tin tuna
7:30(ish) – protein shake or meat & more veggies or salad.
It’s working. I am relieved and will be back to posting more pictures of ridiculous foods cooked soon.
We are however going to the Pony & Trap in Chew Magna this week and while I will attempt to remain eating well while I’m there, I’m well aware that it might be a bit of a blow out meal. I can’t wait, their food looks pretty awesome and the guys at the Star & Dove in Totterdown rate it highly.
