Turkish delight macaroons

Absolutely delightful, little balls of er, fusion dessert? Flavours of the east merged with lovely french pastry delights. etc etc. However, they are really really nice, lovely and sweet with softness inside and a slightly crunchy exterior.

Yeah. Awesome. Recipe is the lovely Lorraine Pascal’s but substitute 1 tablespoon of rosewater and 1 tablespoon of orange blossom water for the 2 tablespoons of water that you use to do the castor sugar syrup. I also couldn’t get the bloody things to cook with the oven door open so did it with them shut, which worked. Additionally, I have no idea why she tells you to preheat the oven at the beginning of the recipe because you have to leave them for 30 mins to get a skin on them. Which means the oven will be on, heating up, for at least an hour.
