Dinner club – Matt’s Spanish feast

I have a small admission to make. This actually took place about 2 months ago and I haven’t posted it because I lost the pictures. Luckily, my efficient and organised boyfriend kept a copy of them. This means that we can now view the amazing food that Matt cooked. But not the churros as those pictures are gone forever!

The starter was Chorizo Mussels – these were amazing, salty, rich, chorizoey, with a great texture of mussel and some crunch from the breadcrumbs. I heartily recommend them.

Our main course was a seafood paella. Featuring some initially alive and really huge langoustines

Again, this was a near – on perfect paella.

And after this we had churros and some of the richest chocolate sauce I have ever had in my life! I think my arteries hardened almost instantaneously after the first mouthful. We drank sangria which was the perfect fruity accompaniment to this lovely food.

This week is Matt’s next meal and I shall definitely not lose the photos this time! I promise.
