Exercise blast

As part of my nutrition program, I need to take regular exercise. Very regular exercise. Every 12 hours or so. As I had decided to start the program on Sunday morning, I decided in my infinite wisdom that a 17 mile cycle along the Strawberry Line from Yatton and back again was a good idea before I started. That was Saturday. It was lovely – quite glorious, cold but sunny and really really pretty.

The plan involved exercise before breakfast and exercise after 9pm at night. So Sunday morning was a run. And Sunday evening was possibly the most hardcore exercise video that I’ve ever done.David Kirsch Beach Bootcamp Hell in DVD format

And then I hauled myself out of bed this morning and went for another run. This time my lovely boyfriend who is feeling like he should be all supportive, decided to come with me. A run at 7am on his day off is properly supportive!

My body aches. It’s not horrendous but I can feel the muscles aching slightly. I suspect that it’ll carry on aching until the 2 weeks are up.

  1. does the exercise have to be so hardcore every day? could you do half an hour of yoga in the morning and a walk in the evening? sounds a bit more achievable in the longer term.
