We were invited round for dinner by my lovely friend Matt. After a long days work, it was like a small beacon at the end of the day. I met Simon about 6:30ish in the pouring rain and he escorted me up Park street and into Browns where we partook of their happy hour. Cocktails at £3.75 rather than £7.95. Delicious.
We then headed over to Matt’s place where we discovered that he’d cooked up a storm for us. The menu was Gordon Ramsay’s Macaroni cheese and raspberry cheesecake.
Matt has always been an avid foodie friend and we do discuss food on a very regular basis but this was the first time he’d cooked for me, and I’m happy to say that he is definitely not all talk and no trousers. It was superb.
