Brunch being the best part of the day


And in my series of trying out new brunch dishes, I made some buttermilk pancakes. Not an english tradition but we tried some in America and loved them. They are fat and fluffy and just lovely. Mine had vanilla sugar in them and I served them with fresh raspberries, marscapone and raspberry sauce. With a little extra honey drizzled over the top.

I used this recipe and used vanilla sugar rather than just normal sugar.

Obviously they would be nicer on nicer plates. I am so sick of my purple plates. They are 6 or 7 years old and are just wrong now. I may go for a mooch around the homeware departments today.
