My hatred of stews. Long documented as a massive aversion to stringy meat, soggy vegetables and tasteless watery oxo flavoured gravy.
Tonight Si made Three Sisters Lamb stew. It was missing one of the sisters which is beans but corn and squash are the other two. It was lovely. Slow cooked tender lamb, sweet corn and chilli crusted butternut in a delicate cumin scented tomatoey sauce. Mmmm.
Can’t post the recipe unfortunately as it’s a Jamie Oliver one and he’s not keen on people posting them but it’s in his America book. Which is really much better than expected, full of really interesting delicious food.
