Butter chicken

50g butter
1 onion
4 tblsp oil
8 cardamom pods
6 cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 teaspoon of each of the following:
* coriander seeds
* cumin seeds
* ground coriander
* ground cumin
* easy ginger (no ginger for me.)
* easy garlic (I use a crushed clove of garlic)
* easy chili (I use a chopped fresh chili or a teaspoonful of dried chili)
400g can of chopped tomatoes
400g meat/quorn chopped into chunks
2 tsp chopped fresh coriander
100ml cream

Cook the onion in the oil and butter till golden brown, add the cinnamon stick, cloves and cardamom pods, and stir for a few seconds. Add the rest of the spices, stir, add the meat/quorn and the chopped tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes with the lid on, then 10 minutes with the lid off. Add the coriander and cream and simmer gently for 10 mins until the sauce is thick and the oil is just beginning to separate. Serve! The whole spices are not meant to be eaten.
