Friday night was very chilled out and I ended up crashing out about 10ish before sleeping late and then I mooched into town with the lovely sister to have a very nice croissant with ham & cheese at Patisserie Valerie (it was breakfast! why did it come with salad?!) and then I collected my bicycle and headed over to Kirsten’s where we mooched around, had a sausage sandwich and then headed over to the glorious Bath / Bristol cycle path where we managed to cycle all the way to Bath. Wooo! 16 or 17 miles all in and we were knackered at the end of it. Great day tho.
And then saturday evening, Matt and Kirsten came round and me and Liz made them pizza. Absolutely the nicest home made pizza I’ve ever made. Really good dough that I stretched out as thin as possible and then loaded up with all the best ingredients I could find. Awesome. I might make them again on Wednesday when the girls come for dinner.
Sunday was another lovely day. Simon and I had a really nice hake and potato hash for breakfast which set us up nicely for a 19 mile cycle round Chew Magna and over Dundry hill (killer hill, pretty awful walk, no chance of cycling up it) and then we headed back to his place with a quick stop off after Simon’s bloodhound nose smelt some wild garlic. We now have lots of wild garlic to make into yummy things over the next few days. We then headed home to make a bit of a bizarre Pad Thai which was nice but a little different.
Lovely weekend and now I am knackered.
