Gardeners World

I went mad in Millets the other day and purchased lots and lots of seeds for planting a nice little veg garden. Today I planted a lot of them. It was rather harder work than I imagined.

I dug out an entire bed, removed all the weeds and stray bits of grass and thoroughly aerated the soil. My bag aches a bit now.

I have also planted lots of things today(all seeds) and have forgotten what I’ve put where. I have sown my sunflowers, pansies and lambs lettuce directly onto a bed (the soil is seriously chalky tho so I shall add some compost tomorrow) and I have planted tomato seeds, courgettes seeds and pumpkins into an array of little pots and propagators and they are all perched in a sunny spot outdoors.

Friday I have more sowing to do – I have sweet peas and runner beans to sow into the bed, and will plant some more pansies into some pots and tidy up the beds around a rose bush and the poor lonely strawberry plant that’s the only thing in the garden at the moment.

I might get some more strawbs too tho or save the space for my million of pumpkins that I’m aiming for!

I also am thinking about putting the rest of the pansies everywhere too, there were 90 seeds in the packet so I’m assuming the survive rate is low

Interesting assumption Charlie. Hope it doesn’t back fire!
PS. You are sickeningly desperate housewifey. If you weren’t such a junkaholic I’d have to start calling you Bree.
