If in doubt, flirt

It’s true really. It definitely makes such a difference.

Anyways, I had a sudden rush of dates – met a german bloke on friday night and had a really pleasant evening, slightly too much wine but I did enjoy it. We both wanted to see each other again and I’ve already had a couple of texts and messages.

Saturday lunch time I met an irish guy for lunch. Well we went for a walk down the south bank, had lunch at Tas(turkish food), and then went for a more of walk to St Katherine’s docks where we sat in the pub for ages and ages (about 5 hours!) and then went for dinner (Zizzi) and then went to another pub (The Trinity by Borough station- Liz & Toby you may remember it πŸ˜‰ ) and then we decided to walk up to Waterloo as we would both get buses home from there as it was about 2am, but then he decided to kiss me (it might have been mutual actually). It was a proper kiss that turned my insides into mush and my knees a bit jelly like. So I went home with him. He’s coming round for dinner on wednesday.

  1. Is that the pub we got thrown out of for public displays of, um, affection?
Or was it the one with the distinct lack of food. Or the one with no tables? Or was it the Irish one with the dodgy chip kebab debacle?
So you’re cooking for a hippy. Hmm. Glad YOU know how to do tofu. Why don’t you try that GORGEOUS butternut, ginger biscuit and butter thing?

    • er, public displays of affection? Elizabeth Brock how could you?! The one we were at with Chisel, me, you, Toby, Jo with a distinct lack of food.
      what butternut, ginger thing?

      • Yeah, that’s the same one. You left. We were naughty. The one with the crisps, not the chips then. I loved that pub. But the bathrooms were very cold, and the door banged very loudly behind you when you left. It’s like “Look everyone, she just peed!”
You know, mashed butternut. Butter. Crushed ginger nuts. It goes like this in layers.
        Small layer of ginger biscuits
large (about 4 times the size of the ginger biscuits) layer of mashed butternut
        Small layer of ginger biscuits
a few blobs of butter (NOT MARGE)

        etc for the dish
butternut on top with gingernuts. I was planning to crumble feta and mix it with the gingernuts for the top when I was GOING to make it on Xmas. Your loss πŸ™‚

      • I did not do public displays of affection in there πŸ™‚ Luckily the south bank was very empty πŸ™‚
That sounds very nice. I might try that.
